Our vision at the Cullman Church of Christ is very simple and straightforward. We want to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Nothing more. Nothing less. We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel. We’re not trying to follow the latest church fad. We just want to be His disciples. It was Jesus’ own words in Matthew 4:19 that undergird everything that we do. Jesus said, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” This statement supports both our mission and our vision. It supports both our plan and our purpose. It is the heart and soul of everything we do. At the end of day, we want nothing else but to follow Jesus.
In order to be a part of this exciting journey at the Cullman Church of Christ, we ask you to do three simple things – Praise, Pursue, Produce. Praise God’s Name – This is the phrase we use to describe how we connect with God through our weekly worship services. We believe that glorifying God and uplifting one another through heart-felt praise is one of the most important things we do on a weekly basis. Whether you’ve been a Christian for decades or you are just beginning the journey, we want you to experience the presence of God in our worship.
"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24Pursue God’s Call – This is the phrase we use to portray how we connect with one another through our fellowship as a community of believers. The Bible is clear in telling us that our love for one another is one of our greatest testimonies to the world. With that understanding, we believe that God calls every disciple of Christ to grow into a closer and more loving relationship with their fellow believers.
"Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34Produce God’s Work – This is the phrase we use to characterize our responsibility to help others. The decision to follow Christ is inherently a selfless journey. Essentially everything that Jesus did was for the betterment of others. As His followers, we must have the same priority in life. There are many to ways to carry out this work at the Cullman Church of Christ. No matter what your talents are, we have a place for everyone.
"I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit — fruit that will last.” John 15:16
